 Founded in 2010 by Jolene Perry, Progressive Dance Company (PDC) formerly know as Synergy Dance Company, is a 501 c3 entity that was created to be a community-based, pre-professional ensemble of dancers. PDC showcases dancers ages 5 through 18, who are passionate about dance and performing. 


PDC’s purpose is to foster excellence in dance 

 Founded in 2010 by Jolene Perry, Progressive Dance Company (PDC) formerly know as Synergy Dance Company, is a 501 c3 entity that was created to be a community-based, pre-professional ensemble of dancers. PDC showcases dancers ages 5 through 18, who are passionate about dance and performing. 


PDC’s purpose is to foster excellence in dance through public performances at community outreach events and through participation in regional dance conventions, workshops, and competitions.

PDC is for the performer who has a passion for dance! Members of PDC are required to take a minimum of 3-10 classes per week, depending on the student’s age and Company they’re in. These classes include both specific company classes and electives. 


 To be in a Company, students must audition in the spring for the following season and meet specific class requirements.

At PDS, we have two companies that are made of teams divided by age and level. Our jazz & contemporary company consists of 4 teams:

Children of all ages and levels, from recreational classes to pre-professional training get the opportunity to DANCE. Our programs are designed to provide our students with a comprehensive dance education, including technique, artistry, and performance skills. Our Mission

Synergy Dance Nonprofit is dedicated to empowering young dancers from all backgrounds by providing access to high-quality dance education, fostering artistic excellence, and nurturing the transformative power of dance. We believe every child, regardless of financial circumstances, deserves the opportunity to explore their passion, develop their talents, and perform on stage in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Through scholarships, community-driven productions, and partnerships with professional artists, we create spaces where students can grow, build confidence, and pursue their dreams in the performing arts. With a commitment to equity and artistic growth, Synergy Dance Nonprofit inspires the next generation of dancers, offering them a platform to excel and shine.

We are committed to expanding our reach through strategic grant funding and individual donor cultivation, ensuring access to professional training, choreography, costuming, theater rentals, and performance opportunities. Together, we build a vibrant, inclusive dance community where every child can thrive.

Key Goals for Funding

  1. Education: Provide scholarships and free dance classes for students from underserved communities, ensuring equitable access to professional-level training.
  2. Capacity Building: Strengthen organizational capacity by investing in staff development, professional choreographers, and program expansion to serve more children.
  3. General Operating Support: Secure funding to sustain theater rentals, sets, costuming, and operational needs, ensuring smooth execution of performances and productions.
  4. Scholarship Programs: Increase the number of scholarships available, enabling more young dancers to participate in our programs without financial barriers.
