We strive to offer the highest quality of training in a variety of dance styles for the widest range of student population. We desire to expose as many children as possible to the world of dance and encourage inclusiveness and diversity in our PDS family.
We offer many different styles of dance tailored to your student’s age, ability and taste including Twirling Twos, Tots in Tutus, Creative Movement, Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap, Hip Hop, Acro, Jump and Turns, Bollywood, Ballroom and more!
We love to see students ranging from ages 2–18 dance! Generally, for those who are passionate and serious enough to build a career in dance, we suggest you start early. However, anyone is welcome at any stage of their development to explore the world of dance. PDS also offers a range of adult dance classes.
Founded in 2010 by Jolene Perry, Synergy Dance Company (SDC), is a 501 c3 entity, and was created to be a community-based, pre-professional ensemble of dancers, ages 5 through 18, who are passionate about dance and performing. SDC’s purpose is to foster excellence in dance through public performances at community outreach events and through participation in regional dance conventions, workshops, and competitions.
SDC is for the performer who loves to dance, and the Company members make it their top priority (after school work, of course). SDC dancers are required to take a minimum of 3-10 classes per week, depending on the student’s age and Company they’re in, which include both specific company classes and electives. At PDS, we have the Petite, Pearls, Emeralds, Sapphires, Diamond, 4 Hip Hop Companies, and one Tap Company. To be in a Company, students must audition in the spring for the following season and meet specific class requirements.
In addition to the opportunity to perform regularly, SDC members are also offered guest workshops that are taught by well known, and renowned, professional dance educators/choreographers. The Company members have an opportunity to hone their performance skills through frequent performances and to give back to the community by sharing in noteworthy charity functions and fundraising events.
