Arleigh Rothenberg began dancing at the age of seven and has experience in a wide variety of dance genres. As a member of Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards’ Sophisticated Ladies, Arleigh dances weekly at the world famous Cotton Club. She has had the great honor of working with Derick K. Grant in his shows Once Upon A Tap, Imagine Tap (Preview), and Rhythm is Our Business.
Arleigh has performed at many prestigious venues including Apollo Theatre for A Taste of Broadway with The Young Hoofers and at Symphony Space for Puerto Rico We Will Rise, choreographed by Maria Torres. Her television and film credits include the 2017 International Adidas Commercial, Customise mi Adidas, Sesame Street, Step Up 3D, and Friends With Benefits starring Justin Timberlake. She has danced on several episodes of Good Morning America, including the recent Oscars After Party and can be seen in the GMA Commercial starring Flo Rida and the GMA anchors.
Arleigh is a graduate of Ithaca College earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Television-Radio with a concentration in Video Production. She recently directed, edited, and choreographed the popular music video, Dreams for the rapper, TruthCity. Arleigh has been a proud staff member of Progressive Dance Studio for 10 years and has been teaching for almost 20 years. Recent Television and Video Credits include the Malibu Rum “Funky Dip” Flashmob Commercial, choreographed by Tweetie, tap dancing on Sesame Street’s 2009/2010 40th Season, dancing in the STEP UP 3D Official Dance Dub Broadway Dance Center Video, (section choreographed by Michelle Dorrance), and appearing in the recently released films Step Up 3D (2010) and Eat, Pray, Love (2010).
